Watch This Service Dog’s Touching Reunion With Family That Trained Him

For 25 years, Canine Partners for LifeÌý(CPL) has been training service dogs to assist individuals with a wide range of disabilities. Families who foster and train these dogs often form a deep connection with these dogs before they place the dog with his/her lifetime companion.

Lindsay Myers is one of those trainers. ÌýWhen she learned that a black lab named Dale’s trainer no longer could train him, Lindsay brought Dale home to her family where she raised and trained him. ÌýBut after two years of loving and training him, it was time to place Dale with his lifetime companion April, who has multiple sclerosis and is also challenged by a cardiac condition. Ìý

In this video, the Today Show interviews April and reunites her service dog Dale with the family who helped raise him for seven months. ÌýThe amount of joy that overcomes Dale when he sees Lindsay and her family will absolutely bring a smile to your face. to learn what Lindsay is up to now and learn how you can get involved with fostering and training service dogs.
