HSBC Executive Joins JA New York Board of Directors

Junior Achievement of New York Announces A New Addition To Board of Directors

NEW YORK, NY 鈥 Today, Junior Achievement of New York, a leader in delivering K-12 financial literacy, entrepreneurship and college and career readiness programs in NYC and Long Island, announces that Douglas Rozman of HSBC is its newest appointment to the JA New York Board of Directors.听 Rozman is a Senior Vice President and Head of Communications for HSBC Bank USA, N.A., a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc (NYSE:HBC), one of the world鈥檚 largest banking and financial services organizations.听听 Since 1929, JA New York has worked to provide K-12 students with the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.

As the chief communications counsel in the U.S., Rozman leads the company鈥檚 media relations and employee communications strategy. He serves on the U.S. Executive Committee and HSBC plc鈥檚 Global Communications Executive Committee.

Rozman is also an adjunct professor in the M.S. of Public Relations and Corporate Communications program at New York University, where he teaches courses in ethics and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining HSBC in July 2014, Rozman held senior communication leadership roles over the past 25 years with CIT, TD Bank, Daimler Financial and MasterCard. Most recently, he was Head of Global Communications at BNY Mellon鈥檚 Pershing subsidiary from 2011 to 2014.

Rozman serves on the Board of T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) a non-profit organization that the Defense Department relies on to provide comfort and care for the families of our nation’s fallen heroes. He鈥檚 also a member of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).

Rozman earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in communications from the University of Connecticut and completed post graduate studies in public relations at New York University. He currently resides in New York City with his wife Anh.
