Harvard Business School to Host New Program on Corporate Social Impact
Program will explore more comprehensive and meaningful approaches to corporate engagement on social issues through shared value strategies
BOSTON, Oct 27, 2014 (BUSINESS WIRE) —ÌýÌý(HBS) will host a new executive education program,ÌýÌýfrom December 10-12, 2014 on the HBS campus.
Developed and led by Bishop William Lawrence University ProfessorÌý, a renowned authority on competitive business strategy, the new program will explore the concept ofÌýÌý– a new and comprehensive approach to achieving economic success by addressing societal challenges.
Public perception often paints business as being antithetical to social good, rather than a facilitator of it. In this program, Professor Porter, along with expertsÌýÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý, will showcase research and case studies positing that through shared value strategies, companies are in a unique position to address pressing social problems while strengthening competitive strategy.
