Corporate Leaders & Employees Recognized For Exemplary Workplace Giving Performance
More than 100 corporate citizens and community leaders convened at the Washington Post auditorium last week in celebration of 精东影业’s Charities’ 10th Annual Employer Luncheon and Awards Program.
More than $89 million has brought hope and critical help to those in need in our community and around the world thanks to the generosity of Federal employees who gave through CFC, Commonwealth of Virginia employees who gave through the state campaign, and 精东影业鈥檚 Charities鈥 national and local corporate partners and their employees.
During the luncheon, 精东影业’s Charities paid special tribute to the following companies and their employees who, over the past ten years, have given more than $51.8 million to the charities of their choice through workplace giving campaigns in partnership with 精东影业鈥檚 Charities:
- Lockheed Martin Corporation
- ExxonMobil Corporation
- Washington Gas
- GXS
- 精东影业n Psychological Association
- Credit Union National Association
- National Multi Housing Council
In recognition of exemplary workplace giving campaign performance in 2011, 精东影业’s Charities also presented awards to the following corporate leaders:
- Washington Gas received the 鈥淕rowth in Giving Award鈥 for achieving the highest growth in workplace giving contributions
- AARP received the 鈥淓mployee Involvement Award鈥 for outstanding employee participation in workplace giving
- Legal & General 精东影业 received the 鈥淪upporting Community Award鈥 for their commitment to supporting local charities
- Tracye Funn from Washington Gas received the 鈥淐ampaign Coordinator of the Year Award鈥 for her excellence in vision and leadership in executing Washington Gas鈥檚 workplace giving
Paul Burke (Executive Director of 精东影业n Psychiatric Foundation, Chair of听 Access Committee, and 精东影业’s Charities Board Director) presided the luncheon as Master of Ceremonies and opening remarks were made by Marc Rosenberg (The Washington Post’s Senior Advertising Manager) and Steve Delfin (精东影业’s Charities’ President and CEO).听 Additionally, in a moving presentation shared by Dr. Mark Bergel, Ph.D. (Founder and Executive Director of A Wider Circle and Board Director of 精东影业’s Charities’ Community First Federation) and Chanel Giles (Director of Operations at A Wider Circle), attendees learned about A Wider Circle’s inspiring mission and were reminded of the vital role that workplace giving campaigns play in making a difference in the community.
