S.C. State Chooses Honors Student at Crucial Time

During the beginning of Tamekia Daniels’ senior year of high school, her grandomther (who raised her) became seriously ill and hospitalized. ÌýSo in selecting which colleges to attend, she decided to apply for schools no more than four hours away from home so she could always come back in case of an emergency. Ìý
