Macy鈥檚 Believe Campaign Benefitting 惭补办别-础-奥颈蝉丑庐 Aims to Break Guinness World Record
This holiday season, Macy鈥檚 is asking 精东影业 to 鈥渨ish big.鈥
The 7th听annual Macy鈥檚 Believe campaign benefitting 惭补办别-础-奥颈蝉丑庐 asks believers of all ages to write letters to Santa and send them to the North Pole via Macy鈥檚. The letters will help Make-A-Wish grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions, and in some cases, contribute to setting a world record.
For every letter written to Santa and dropped off in one of the bright red Macy鈥檚 letterboxes located in Macy鈥檚 stores nationwide or submitted online at听macys.com/believe听from now until Dec. 24, Macy鈥檚 will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1,000,000. The ability to send letters online is a new feature for this year鈥檚 campaign and it comes with a special bonus opportunity. 听
When a letter to Santa is written online 鈥 before it gets sent to the North Pole 鈥 the writer will have the option to add a wish list to the letter. The writer can choose to have the first three wishes in each wish list count toward the World’s Longest Wish List to Santa, and therefore, take part in a legitimate world record attempt.听
The World鈥檚 Longest Wish List to Santa is part of the multi-faceted, highly successful Believe campaign that has raised more than $8.7 million dollars for Make-A-Wish throughout the campaign鈥檚 seven year history. With the support from the Macy鈥檚 Believe campaign, Make-A-Wish has been able to grant more wishes like 4-year-old听Brandon鈥檚 wish to be a firefighter. ABOUT MAKE-A-WISH
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true has positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Headquartered in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish is one of the world’s leading children’s charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes. It has granted more than 254,000 wishes since its inception in 1980; more than 14,000 in 2013 alone. Visit Make-A-Wish at听 learn more.听
