Team Training – the Backbone of Canine Partners for Life

Team Training is the backbone of Canine Partners for Life and at the core of everything they do. This is what their trainers,Ìýpuppy raisers, volunteers, service dogsÌýand recipients work so hard for. Team Training. Three weeks of intensive, comprehensive training where recipients meet their dogs, bond with them, learn and train to form a more perfect union.

They work diligently on all aspects of their new partnerships, from ADA access rights, to dog grooming; from “Sit” and “Stay” to “Fix it” and “Go pay”; from wheelchair maneuvers to traversing long stairways. These teams will experience it ALLÌýunder the guidance of CPL’s seasoned trainers, and with much help from staff and volunteers.

It is a long and emotional three-week journey that just started this week, but one that reaps the most tremendous rewards. True Partnership.
